2-step sign-in (your phone code)
Why everyone has it, and how to set it up in about 2 minutes.
Every sign-in asks for your password and a code from your phone. A stolen password alone can't get into your shop.
It's on for everyone, including the owner. The admin opens once it's set up.
What you need
- Your phone.
- A free authenticator app: Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator. Already use one, like 1Password? That works too.
Setting it up
- Press Set it up now and type your password.
- In the app on your phone, press + and point the camera at the square on screen.
- Type the 6-digit code the app shows, then press Check and continue.
- Save your 10 backup codes (Download, Print or Copy), tick the box, and press Finish and open the store.
Backup codes
Each backup code works once, instead of the phone code. Keep them somewhere safe, away from your phone.
On the sign-in page, choose Use a backup code.
